The largest anime convention in the Central Valley, which offers everything from anime artwork to cosplay contests, can be found at the Fresno Fair grounds on March 17th and March 18th. The convention caters to anime fan interests, but includes vendors and events which will appeal to broader science fiction and comic enthusiasts as well. TCG players, gamers, artists and musicians will also have a chance to showcase their talents.

This year, there will be guest speakers and voice actors present at the panels, along with cosplay contests, a fashion show, a maid cafe, and varioius tournaments for trading cards and video gaming. There will also be performances from live bands and other entertainers. There will be a LARPing event.

Tickets will be on sale at the event. Kids under 10 are free with the purchase of an accompanying adult’s ticket. Ticket prices vary: $15 for Saturday, $10 for Sunday and $20 to attend both days. Advance online and V.I.P. tickets have sold out, but more are available at the door.

To see a detailed schedule and stay updated on future information, visit the event’s official site.

What about Viewster? Even though it doesn’t have a huge selection of anime like crunchyroll, it’s legal, completely free, and you can watch the anime in hd without ads!
