 The Central High School Mexican folklorico dance group, Danzantes de Tlaloc will be performing at the annual High School Show Off performance this Saturday, February 24th at Warnors Theatre. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door, $8 in room 301 at East Campus and kids 3 and under can attend free of charge. Online ticket purchase can also be made at the Warners Theatre website   for $12.

This Valley-wide event presented by Danzantes Del Valle features 11 different high schools who get the chance to show off their talent with performances showcasing traditional dances from different eras and regions of Mexico. This year, the Danzantes de Tlaloc team will be performing a dance from the region of Sinaloa Rancho. Not only was the invited to perform, but their instructor Rosa Gonzalez was featured on an ABC30 newscast where she promoted the event last Tuesday.

High School Show Offs has become recognized as one of the biggest folklorico events of the year and typically sells out in any venue. The high school teams participating this year are from Central, Selma, Clovis West, Clovis, Fresno, Sunnyside, Roosevelt, McLane, Porterville, Granite Hills, and Monache,

Danzantes de Tlaloc have been performing at this event for years, but dancers say each event is a unique experience. Senior Rolando Ruvalcaba stated, “This is going to be my fourth year and it’s always exciting to be able to participate with other schools.” John Ruiz is a junior who been on the program for almost two years and this year will be his first year at Show Offs. “It’s challenging but I know that it’ll be successful at the end.”
